Cupping Massage

Cupping massage is an ancient, non-invasive technique using glass, silicone, or plastic cups to create suction on the skin. By lifting tissue instead of compressing it, this therapy increases blood flow, reduces muscle tension, and promotes relaxation. It is commonly used for pain relief, and inflammation.

Key Aspects

It is used in traditional medicine to balance energy, reduce stress, and improve mobility. Cups are placed on the skin, creating a vacuum that pulls skin upward. It can be stationary (left in place) or sliding (moved across muscles).

Benefits

  • It helps to release fascia, boost circulation, and reduce pain.

Sensations & Marks: While not usually painful, it can cause mild discomfort. It often leaves temporary red or purple circular marks, which typically fade within 1–10 days.
